Annemarie Kemmink

Annemarie graduated from the University of Utrecht in 2011, obtaining a DVM degree in large animal medicine.  There was an opportunity to spend a few months in Australia later that year, to work for Dr Anne Jacobson at the Rosehill Farm Vet Practice.  These few months became a longer commitment when she got offered a permanent position there. With the main focus being on reproduction and general mixed practice it was safe to say that not a day was the same and there was a lot to learn. In 2015, after meeting with Dr Kim McKellar and spending some time with him trotting up racehorses, AK&K Equine Services was founded. A fully equipped and established ambulatory clinic, with a strong focus on race – and performance horses. Annemarie’s professional interests are equine reproduction and sport horse medicine. Annemarie’s personal interests are her little stockhorse Kenny, a tribe of dogs, looking after her farm and keeping fit.

Kim McKellar

Kim graduated Bachelor of Honours in 1967 from Melbourne University. He worked at the Ballarat Veterinary Practice from 1970- 2001 and was a partner since 1972. He has been heavily involved in the Ballarat Turf Club and the Country Racing Board. His experience in treating Racehorses is second to none with over 50 years experience. Although semi-retired now he is still sharp as a tact and loves to keep us on our toes.

Gabby Carson

Gabby has been at AK and K Equine for 2 years now, however has been working closely with Annemarie for the past 10 years. Gabby has had horses her whole life and has a keen interest in dressage.
Having competed on her Riding Pony Ned for a number of years she enjoys going for a trailride just as much. For a long time she has had a keen interest in the veterinary industry and loves assisting Annemarie with veterinary procedures. She spends her free time she likes to spend time at the gym, playing netball and going out for cheeky drink.

Kaye Whykes

Kaye has been at Wyndholm Park since 2007 and has been a great supporter of AK & K Equine
services. She is a woman of many talents which include but are not limited to driving tractors, riding
horses, foaling down mares, having two phone conversations at the same time. Not to mention
running the whole Stud.
Becoming a Grandma twice this year she still has time for all horses and humans at Wyndholm Park.
She has extensive knowledge of the Equine Industry and we are lucky that she shares it with us.
